IDEA offers support services for students when parents, teachers or staff, or scholars themselves request them. Our social workers and psychologists help scholars dealing with a wide range of issues including:
- Behavioral challenges
- Homelessness

- Mental illness
- Parenting
- Pregnancy
Our student support services team includes:
- Yvette Brown, Social Worker, provides support for 9th and 10th grade exceptional learners, parenting scholars, and those experiencing bereavement. Email Ms. Brown.
- MaryCatherine Balcom, Social Worker, provides support for 11th and 12th grade exceptional learners, scholars with 504 plans, and scholars who are homeless. Email Ms. MaryCatherine.
