Exceptional Education

IDEA’s Exceptional Education Department is committed to supporting scholars and families in navigating the special education process. This process includes identification and referral, evaluation, determination of eligibility, development, and implementation of an individualized education program (IEP), determination of services, and reevaluation. Approaches used to support scholars and families include:
  • Ongoing parent involvement
  • Multidisciplinary evaluations and eligibility determinations
  • Annual IEP reviews
  • Co-taught English, math, and science classes
  • Resource pull-out support
  • Behavior intervention plans
  • Small-group study zones
  • Assistive technology
  • Appropriate accommodations and interventions

IDEA's Special Education Referral Process document describes the referral process in detail. To refer a student for support services or request a consultation, please fill out this Request for Assistance form. One of our clinical team members will respond to you as soon as possible.

All IDEA scholars are eligible to participate in FEV tutoring. Register here.
