IDEA Public Charter School participates in My School DC, a common application for all DC public schools. The lottery for the 2019-20 school year is now closed. Students have been matched with schools. If you still need to apply, you may be able to participate in the post-lottery application process.
We accept enrollment paperwork during these days and times.
All incoming 9th grade students will participate in a summer enrichment program August 5-August 9, 2019 from 8:30am-1pm. Students who sign up for the Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) must choose IDEA as their employer to receive a stipend.
If you have additional questions regarding enrollment, please contact our enrollment team at email@example.com or 202-399-4750.
IDEA Public Charter School is a free, open-enrollment, public high school for District of Columbia. If the number of applications exceeds the number of spaces available, a lottery is held to determine the order in which students are offered seats. Per the District of Columbia School Reform Act, siblings of current IDEA Public Charter School students receive preference in the lottery should they apply during the open enrollment period. Students applying after the lottery will be added to the wait list on a first-come-first-served basis.
