On March 30, MySchoolDC lottery results will be results, and all applicants to IDEA Public Charter School will be informed about the status of their application. If you have not already applied to IDEA through MySchoolDC, you may submit a post-lottery application. Learn more here.
For families that matched through the My School DC lottery, enrollment at IDEA begins on Monday, April 2, 2018 and will continue until Tuesday, May 1, 2018. It is absolutely necessary that you enroll by May 1.
- Enrollment will take place Monday-Friday 8am-5pm at IDEA Public Charter School.
- All incoming ninth-grade students participate in a summer enrichment program from June 25 through July 27, 2018. Students who sign up for Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) should choose IDEA as their employer.
- To enroll at IDEA, you must submit an enrollment packet and proof of DC residency. The enrollment packet and the list of acceptable residency documents (e.g. driver’s license, DMV registration, pay stub, SSI benefits notification, lease, or utility bill) can be found at http://www.ideapcs.org/apps/pages/enrollmentrequirements.
- All families must come to school during regular school hours to bring proof of residency and other required paperwork.
Additionally, we will have extended office hours until 6:30pm on the following days:
- Tuesday, April 17
- Thursday, April 19
- Tuesday, April 24
- Thursday, April 26
We will also accept paperwork on Saturday, April 14, 21, and 28 from 9 am-1 pm.
All new families that enroll by April 21, 2018 will receive a $100 uniform voucher.
Note: IDEA Public Charter School will be closed on Monday, April 16, 2018 in observance of Emancipation Day.
