Beginning next semester, a record number of IDEA scholars will be leaving our campus early and traveling across town to the University of the District of Columbia Community College for classes. Scholars enrolled in UDCCC's College Access and Readiness for Everyone (CARE) Program may take college classes for credit, at no cost, while still in high school.
IDEA and UDCCC have offered dual enrollment for several years, but this spring a dozen scholars will be getting a taste of college classes. These scholars are:
Antanay Carter - English Composition I
Francisco San Roman - English Composition I
Juan Pablo San Roman - English Composition I
Gary Graham - First Year Seminar
Mekhi McKinney - First Year Seminar
Malaysia Johnson - English Composition I
Shane Townsend - First Year Seminar
Markese Stephens - English Composition II
Michael Artemus - Intro to Psychology
Shoa Samad - Intro to Psychology
TaVon Wilson - Intro to Political Science
Dezaray Walters - English Composition I
Congratulations to our new UDCCC scholars!
