JROTC Cadets Receive Honors from Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and National Sojourners

Congratulations to our JROTC cadets who received awards at an April 21 ceremony at District of Columbia Scottish Rite of Freemasonry headquarters, presented by the National Sojourners and the Scottish Rite.
Aviyana Green received the Americanism Scottish Rite Award. Titus Proctor received the Leadership Scottish Rite Award. Michael Artemus received the National Sojourners Award.
To be eligible for these awards, cadets must, according to the Scottish Rite website,
  • Have contributed the most among cadets on campus to encourage and demonstrate Americanism by deeds or conduct during participation in extracurricular activities or community projects
  • Have demonstrated academic excellence by being in the top 25% of his/her academic class
  • Have demonstrated outstanding leadership by exhibiting qualities of dependability, good character, self discipline, good citizenship, and patriotism
The cadets and their families enjoyed meeting military leaders and Masons at the event.
