Announcing the Frank Creighton Memorial Scholarship

Frank Creighton was one of the good guys. An authentic man of many talents with a sharp brain and a soft heart. Frank was gifted in countless areas, and his achievements were many, but he will best be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a man of integrity, endless generosity, consideration, respect, and kindness for others. He had an extraordinary sense of humility, truly unaware of his special qualities. Frank enjoyed all people, but especially children. He was a friend and mentor to many. He was always available to young people to play, to counsel or just to listen. He quietly helped friends, family and strangers alike, expecting and accepting nothing in return.

The Frank Creighton Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating IDEA senior who demonstrates “need, merit and a plan” for continued education. It aims to encourage a balance of talent with drive, ambition with grit, and passion with practicality by rewarding hard working, well-rounded students who exhibit strength of character. Winners are eligible to participate in the Frank Creighton Mentor Program. The program matches scholars with “Friends of Frank” who serve as mentors, providing consistent and meaningful support for student success.
