Entrepreneurial Scholars Set Up Shop at Black Brilliance Marketplace

Entrepreneurs Ashlee Tate, chief executive officer, (at left in photo) and Shalon Walker, chief marketing officer, represented the Ten Toes business management team, selling t-shirts and hoodies with the anti-gun violence slogan, "can't make peace with a piece."
"I'm proud to report that these IDEA scholars were the only student entrepreneurs at the Marketplace," noted Dr. William Artis, IDEA's career and technical education director, who accompanied them for the day. The Marketplace was part of the Back to School Community and Family Day sponsored by the National Urban League in Partnership with Greater Washington Urban League.
