The D.C. Dual Enrollment Consortium Program allows high school students to earn college credit at local colleges in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. IDEA scholars are eligible to participate at Bard College, the Catholic University of America, Marymount University, Trinity Washington University, the University of the District of Columbia, and the University of the District of Columbia Community College through IDEA’s partnerships with those institutions.
This is a great opportunity for sophomores and juniors. Why?
- You will be better prepared for your first year of college.
- The program is free.
- College credits earned through the program are often transferable to other colleges.
Even better? Because IDEA can place scholars through the Student Youth Employment Program, scholars can earn college credit AND get paid for it.
Interested scholars need to apply for dual enrollment. The application period opens today, January 18, and runs through Friday, February 18. Interested? Talk to Ms. Zimmerman for all of the details and information about your next steps to a summer of opportunity!
