Last spring six IDEA seniors became electrical apprentices after graduation, thanks to a pre-apprenticeship course offered at IDEA in partnership with the Chesapeake chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors.
This program provides a direct pathway to being hired by a major electrical contractor, as an electrical apprentice, right after graduation, leading to a well-paid, in-demand career.
Scholars who are interested in learning more about or enrolling in this year's course are invited to an information session at IDEA on Thursday, November 18 at 6:30pm. Parents and guardians are also invited to attend.
A virtual information session will be held Monday, November 22. Contact Ms. Zimmermann for the link.
