IDEA carpentry scholars have been hard at work building raised garden beds and planters to sell to the community. Last week we sold out our entire inventory of 24 planters in 72 hours to many happy customers across the District. Deanwood community leader Alicia Rucker even took one home for her own garden. Scholars who made the planters earned the profits from the sale, after the modest cost of building materials.
If you missed your chance to buy an IDEA garden bed, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to learn about future sales!
