As participants in the One World Education program, IDEA scholars Omarion Brodie, Tiaret Payne, and Quera Simms worked hard to develop arguments about social issues that they are passionate about. One World Education helps teenagers and adults develop critical thinking and writing skills.
Freshman Omarion Brodie took on the timely topic of police brutality. Freshman Quera Simms described the persistent plague of child abuse and suggested ways to stop it. Freshman Tiaret Payne wrote about the escalating tragedy of teen suicide, including her own experience of losing a close friend.
