IDEA seniors were busy throughout November participating in DC College Application and Exploration Month, visiting colleges, talking with college representatives at IDEA, applying, and best of all receiving acceptances to great colleges!
Admissions officers from Prince George’s Community College, the University of Louisville, Virginia State University, Trinity University, Morgan State University, and Fayetteville State University, visited IDEA to talk about their schools and answer scholars’ questions.
Seniors took field trips to Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Goucher College, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, which was hosting a college fair.
Members of the Class of 2020 have received acceptance letters so far from Claflin University, Georgia State University, Johnson C. Smith University, Prince George’s Community College, Trinity University Washington, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the University of Louisville, Virginia State University, Virginia Union University, Voorhees College, and Xavier University.
Seniors have completed applications to many other schools as well, including North Carolina A&T University, NCC University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Syracuse University, Shaw University, George Mason University, Old Dominion University, Hampton University, Radford University, University of North Carolina Charlotte, Norfolk State University, Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, Marshall University, Winston-Salem University, and Delaware State University. We hope to see admissions letters from these schools soon!
