Congratulations to May Scholars of the Month

Debonaire Leonard | 12th grade
Debonaire Leonard has been a model scholar throughout the school year. Not only has he succeeded in his academics, but also in his personal life. With the help of his family and teachers, he was able to successfully focus on his schoolwork while overcoming the passing of his maternal grandmother. Debonaire‚Äôs gentle giant spirit allows him to remain humble. He is focused in pursuing a technical degree in automotive engineering.
Jeremiah Holmes | 11th grade
Jeremiah Holmes is one of the most consistent and responsible scholars in the 11th grade. You can often find Jeremiah in any class modeling the school's expectations, as well as each teacher's expectations. Jeremiah is always prepared to do his best and he's quick to offer a fellow scholar some assistance in class. Jeremiah is enjoyable both in and out of the classroom and he deserves every commendation.
Lamia Jenkins | 10th grade
Lamia is a caring and sensitive young woman who is a joy to be around. She is compassionate and understanding, and known among her peers as a real safe place and a friend. Miss Jenkins' lively spirit has landed her on the 2018-2019 cheerleading squad and she currently has a 3.1 GPA. She is an excellent scholar and and even better person.
Kelin Martir Manzanarez | 9th grade
Kelin is a wonderful example of everything a IDEA scholar should be! She comes to class ready to participate and works hard to improve her work. Kelin brings a joyful, positive energy to those around her and encourages others to participate in what is happening in and out of the classroom. For these reasons, Kelin is May's student of the month.
