New this year at IDEA are Workforce Days, in which community partners and career professionals set up tables in the cafeteria during lunch to introduce their work and related opportunities to IDEA students.
So far this year, Workforce Day presenters have included
Stratford University, which showcased its training in culinary arts, computer science, business administration, and health services.
Graphic Designer Christopher Wardlaw, who was introduced to IDEA by IDEA trustee Gizachew Andargeh
Nonprofit organization Urban Alliance, which places high school students in internships with local companies and businesses.
