Meet Jordan Randolph

As an Urban Teachers Fellow and English teacher at IDEA, Jordan Randolph tries to instill in her scholars that growth is beautiful. Her journey to her current role illustrates that belief. When her closest friends left college, she had to remember her goals and push through to graduate. While Ms. Randolph is good at many things, when she felt like she might fail, she would not apply herself. Tired of denying herself opportunities, she took a leap of faith and applied to the Urban Teachers program and was accepted.

Ms. Randolph is currently pursuing her master's degree at Johns Hopkins University. She has a bachelor's degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. A native of Prince George's County, Maryland, she graduated from Gwynn Park High School.

Her favorite quote about growth is: “Change is inevitable, growth is optional.”- John Maxwell
