As the executive assistant to IDEA's CEO, Ms. Garrett assists Mr. Wilson so that he can excel in his role to fulfill IDEA's mission to "prepare students with academic, social, leadership, and occupational skills for post-secondary opportunities and to be responsible citizens who contribute to the community." She has over eight years of administrative and customer service experience working in higher education, government, non-profit, and corporate sectors and a Bachelor of Arts in communications/public relations.
Ms. Garrett is delighted to contribute her time and talents to IDEA so that it can continue its role as a leader in the community and a dedicated educational institution that challenges, motivates, and strengthens the intellect of its scholars.
She is a parent of three small kids and enjoys eating, exercising, sleeping, and spending time with friends and family. She was born and raised in Prince George's County.
