IDEA scholars take a variety of assessments throughout the school year to ensure they are mastering the concepts they need to understand to grow intellectually. Our staff uses data from scholar assessments to understand if there are areas where scholars are struggling or units we need to teach differently. We constantly use the results of assessments to inform our teaching approaches.

MAP Assessment

IDEA scholars take MAP assessments in the fall and spring to help teachers understand what scholars already know and what they're ready to learn. The MAP system is designed to customize each assessment based on scholars' responses, resulting in tailored results that provide specific guidance to teachers. MAP accurately measures how much scholars have grown and learned over time.
