Graduation Requirements

Dear Parent/Guardian:

I hope this summer finds you and your family in good health. The staff and I are working hard to prepare for the 2010-2011 school year. In an effort to keep you informed, this letter will provide information pertaining to the changes in our graduation requirements.

During recent meetings with the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board, the JROTC courses will no longer fulfill Carnegie units required for graduation. IDEA staff is continuing to work with the
DC Public Charter School Board to resolve this situation. However, beginning with the upcoming academic year (2010-2011) students will need to successfully complete additional courses to satisfy graduation requirements.

Be sure to attend our Back to School Day Monday, August 23, 2010 1:00 to 4:00 (grades 7-9) and Tuesday, August 24 from 1:00 to 4:00 (grades 10-12). All Parents and students are REQUIRED to attend.
