Dear Parents,

March 8-11, 2010 is a testing period for all IDEA students who either will take the DC BAS or Scantron Performance series assessments in reading and math. The after school tutoring and most after school activities will be suspended every afternoon from March 8 through March 11. Junior Academy students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM. High school cadets will be dismissed at 4:00 PM.

Teachers look forward to meeting with parents on Thursday, March 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to discuss students’ progress or deficiencies before the end of the 3rd Advisory on Friday, March 26.

After School tutoring and After School homework support are available to all students. Saturday School for reading, math and brief constructed writing (BCR) practice is available to 7th, 8th, and 10th grade students. Saturday School classes will be available through April 17th from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM.

IDEA Public Charter School will not have summer school for students to recover credits in subjects they have failed. We are asking every parent to encourage your child to come to school daily, to come on time and complete assignments.
